Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou amongst women and blessed is the Fruit of Your Womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death!

Music Ministry

Lead the community in song under the direction of our talented Music Director. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings, 7pm in St. Theresa Church and at other times as announced. Participate as your schedule allows!

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Meet as a group for prayer and fellowship as well as encouraging each other in the preparation of Prayer Shawls and Baby Blankets. These items are blessed and made available to the sick, elderly, and newly baptized members of the community.

Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses and approving the annual budgets.

Food for God's Poor

Non-perishable foods are collected at the back of the church on Sundays and donated to charity. Volunteers are needed to collect the donated food and drop it off at Lazarus House in Lawrence.

Offertory Counters

We need small teams to count and record the money collected at Mass each week. Ideally, each group will serve about once a month.

Parish Pastoral Council

The PPC is a group of parish representatives chosen by the Pastor to advise him concerning the liturgical, spiritual, pastoral, and evangelizing activities within our community.

Protecting God’s Children

All clergy, office staff, and volunteers are required to attend a Virtus—Protecting God’s Children training session. This is an archdiocese-sponsored program which teaches awareness of those persons and situations which could endanger our children and other vulnerable members of the community.

Senior Altar Server

Men and women who assist at liturgical celebrations (especially Funeral Masses) to assist the clergy and volunteer ministers and help lead our faith community in worship.

Stations of the Cross

This devotion is celebrated communally on Friday evenings at 6:00 PM in the Church during Lent, followed by soup and faith sharing in DuPerry Hall.

Ushers

Ushers assist at Mass in a variety of ways - in particular, welcoming and directing the people as they arrive and taking up Offertory collections.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

Founded in 1948, the St. Vincent de Paul Society ministers to the poor and needy in our parish. The work of the Vincentians is funded solely by the contributions deposited in the St. Vincent de Paul boxes near the doors of the church.

Men of St. Joseph

All men are welcome! Meetings and events are held regularly and include Bible study, presentations, discussions, and service projects.

Altar Servers

Altar servers have a very active role during the Mass, leading processions and assisting the clergy. This ministry is especially for boys and girls who regularly attend Mass and are old enough to receive Holy Communion. However, there is no maximum age: some of our past servers have stayed on through high school and college! Plus, we need adult altar servers for Funeral Masses and other special liturgies that occur during school hours.

Baptism Preparation

Instruction and conversation for parents and godparents who are having a young child baptized.  Baptisms and preparation meetings are scheduled monthly.

Third Order of Mary

A group that fosters devotion to Mary and strives to support the parish community spiritually and financially through fundraising and functions.

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are laypeople approved by the Pastor to help distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. Some also bring the Eucharist to the sick and homebound.

Flowers and Grounds

Volunteers who care for and beautify the parish grounds and interior spaces of our churches.

Greeters

Parish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the church for Mass and other public events.

Lectors

Lectors are laypeople who lead readings from Holy Scripture during Mass and other services. They might also lead the Prayer of the Faithful (also called the Universal Prayer) and other prayers that aren't reserved to clergy.

Liturgical Linen Service

Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This primarily involves washing and ironing the purificators, corporals, and altar cloth used during Mass.

Outreach to the Homebound

We need Eucharistic Ministers who are willing to visit parishioners who are unable to come to church for Mass. These volunteers share the Word of God, the Eucharist, their time, and the support of the whole parish community with those they serve.

RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation (soon to be rebranded the Order of Christian Initiation) is the open-ended, ongoing process of preparing adult candidates for Baptism, Holy Communion, Penance, and Confirmation.

Sacristans

The duties of sacristans include opening and locking up the church, setting up for Mass, and maintaining the sacristy. These responsibilities may be carried out by one person or shared among several people.
