We Need Your Help

Dear Friends,  Many people are hurting as this crisis continues.  Undoubtedly, many parishioners have lost their income because of the fact that so many businesses have closed and laid off their employees.  A parish is unique in that all or most of our income comes from charitable donations given by our parshioners.  So it would be a very big help if you are able to do these things:  First, consider continuing to give your weekly contribution by either mailing them to the office or dropping them off through the mail slot at the office at 22 Plymouth Street Methuen.  Second, consider a special gift if you are able, knowing that many of our brothers and sisters are not able to give anything at this time.  Third, consider signing up for our On Line Giving Program through which you can make weekly, monthly, and special contributions. Click HERE for more information. Fourth, consider this new initiative, 90 Days Now For Your Parish.  This was an idea of a lay member of the Church.  The Archdiocese set up a simple, secure website which enables parishioners to commit to making a daily sacrifice for their Parish.  It could be $1, $2, $5, or $10 charged to your credit card.  Click HERE for more information.

I know that many of us are hurting and afraid in these difficult times.  But if your situation allows it, some extra support will go a long way.  I am not insensitive to what asking for money during a time of crisis like this looks like.  One of my jobs though, is to keep the parish financially sound.  If all who can help with this do, we will get through it and be strong when it ends.  I am committed to doing my part.  I was the first donor to the parish through the 90 Days For Your Parish initiative.  By Wednesday of Holy Week we hope to have new live streaming equipment installed that will cost around $6,000.  I am going to cover that expense for now, and wei'll figure out what to do when the crisis is over.  My hope is that coming together virtually we can keep the parish family spiritually healthy.  Can you join me in keeping the parish financially healthy?

Please know that you are all in my prayers each day!

Love in Christ, Fr. Chris
